A Day at Universal Studios Singapore

Its nice to be back at Universal Studios Singapore! We were supposed to go together with our relatives but unfortunately we are not available on the date they went so we use our tickets on a different day.

Here are some few tips before going to USS.

Where to buy USS tickets?

For discounted tickets, we recommend Cebu Air Travel and Tours located at Lucky Plaza, Orchard. We got ours for $64 only which includes $5 meal voucher that can be use in any restaurants inside USS. Regular ticket price costs $76 for admission only. 😀 Huge discount right? They also sell different attraction tickets at a discounted price so you better plan your itinerary before going to their shop.

How to go to Universal Studios Singapore from Harbourfront Station?

There are 3 ways to go to USS from Vivo City. By monorail, by bus or if you want to burn some calories you can walk at Sentosa Boardwalk, all modes are accessible at Vivo City. Monorail costs $4, bus costs $1, and Sentosa Boardwalk is free until end of 2017. We want to save some cash so we took the bus from Vivo City to Sentosa. 😀 From Sentosa to Vivo City, riding monorail or bus is already free of charge. I suggest taking monorail when going back to Vivo City but sometimes the queue is very long so opting for the bus is still a good idea.

The youthful vibe at the park will definitely shift your mood from gloomy to jolly!

We have been to USS a few times but we haven't tried the rollercoaster ride Battlestar Galactica. So this is no. 1 in our agenda. There are two rides at Battlestar Galactica - Humans and Cyclons. We opt for Humans first because it has lesser loops and planned to try Cyclon afterwards.

After trying Humans, I lost my courage to try Cyclons. 😅 I guess I have a reason to come back again at USS.

Rides that you should not miss are Transformers, Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, Puss and Boots Giant Journey, Dino-Soarin' and if you are a thrill seeker do not skip Battlestar Galactica - Humans and Cyclons.

Aside from the rides, there are also shows that you can watch. Waterworld which is shown 3 times a day is a must see. I still enjoyed it even though I have watched it for a couple of times. Lights, Camera, Action! By Steven Spielberg is also entertaining as it simulates the way movie effects are created. If you want to cool down after the rides, you can watch Shrek 4D.
